Call for Officer Nominations!

It is that time of year again! ITAG/SAGE is recruiting members to take on leadership roles on the Executive Board.  This is an incredible opportunity for you to put your leadership opportunities to practice and make a difference for gifted kids in Idaho.  The ITAG/SAGE team is looking for members, that understand the unique needs of GT students to be a part of this team.  There are three offices that will be voted on: Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Below you will find a description of the roles and the duties associate. If you are interested or know someone who would be a great addition to ITAG/SAGE’s Executive Board, please log in and fill out a nomination form on our website located under the “About” tab, or simply email us at idahogifted@gmail.com with your contact information.  All nominations are due by Friday, November 14th. Elections will be held during the last week of November.

Vice President

(Moves up to president-elect, president, and past-president roles)

  • Marketing: advertise ITAG’s cause
  • Gem Award: send out nomination reminders & notices, retrieve nominations, order the GEM award, contact and communicate with winner, post winner information on website
  • Merchandise: flyers, forms, board, stationary
  • Prepare/Collect a CEC Newsletter article (four times a year)
  • Hold and upkeep “Box” with marketing items for all conferences
  • Organize, run, and attend Professional Development
  • Provide a Silent Auction Item for Edufest

Secretary

(2 year role)

  •    Keep Meeting Notes; post them to website after each meeting
  •    Email Sorting and Notifying: Once a week
  •    Timeline notifications: reminders for gem award, grants, conferences, and web postings to officers
  •    Maintain records
  •    Organize Google Drive
  • Provide a Silent Auction Item for Edufest

Treasurer

(2 year role)

  •    Maintain budget: provide a report at each meeting
  •    Maintain PayPal account; transfer money as needed
  •    Expenditures: pay NAGC/CEC dues, write checks, maintain website payments
  •    Magic member report at each board meeting
  •    Make deposits when necessary
  • Organize/Run any Silent Auctions or fundraisers (added by Erin 7/29)
  • Provide a Silent Auction Item for Edufest
  • Membership
