 Please take 5 minutes to play the April 22, 2013 National Contest Demo (link below).   Have a student test the assessment model or you test it.  20 multiple-choice questions / 30-second timer /  worth a total of 400 points.  Scores are compared by grade.

How to Implement?  There are two choices:  Select a group, grade, or class to take the weekly assessment.. or..  have the whole school take the test.

Serving elementary, middle and high school current events assessment needs for 22 years!


*Nitty-Gritty Details:

*The assessment will take a student 10 minutes or less each week to complete.  Every week all school year!  No teacher preparation at all!!!!


*Students will have the opportunity to take a 20-question, timed multiple-choice assessment for 40 weeks.  Students do not have to test every week, but have the opportunity to compete every week.


*Students take the assessment on their iPhones, iPads, laptops or school technology.  Students may test any time during the  week, in school or out of school.  A student will be allowed one testing per week.


*Students scores will be compared with other students across the nation in the grade level selected by the studentwhen signing into the MyBrain curriculum. Scores will also be put in a  STATE CONTEST  and your school contest!


*The assessment will have  a perfect score of 400-points.  The test will assess news events from the week before and general current events, geography ,history, economics, sociology, sports and world news.


*Weekly national rankings will scroll on the NewzBrain web site.  Student names will not be allowed to be shown, but their MyBrain username will identify them along with the school name for recognition.


*Teachers will be provided a list of all scores from students in their school!   A great idea is to recognize weekly theTop 10 scoring students, per grade level  in your school.
